Instructions:

  1. Heat the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamoms, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes and their juices and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the tomatoes have broken down.
  4. Stir in the cream and paneer and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.
  5. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
